We founded CANOPY on the belief that reaching your professional potential is based on where and how you work, and not who you work for. We like to think of who you work next to. A CANOPY space is about working intelligently. Which is why we created a new class of workspace designed for inspiration, efficiency, and enjoyability—integrating ergonomic furniture with convenient amenities in an intimate neighborhood setting.
Locally placed and committed to supporting your independent professional ventures, we offer a considered spatial design, for both functional and aesthetic purposes. CANOPY has a variable membership offering and concierge-style amenities program.
We’ve collaborated with today’s premier lifestyle brands to build an enriching workspace environment. We’ve curated our provisions to stimulate productivity—from a kitchen stocked with Blue Bottle Coffee and Pique Tea, ergonomic Herman Miller furnishings to soothing Flos lighting, and botanical Aesop skincare—and our member services and discounts ensure your workday flows seamlessly.
First, Amir Mortazavi of the design firm M-PROJECTS and Yves Behar conceived of CANOPY as an ecosystem rather than an office: an elevated place where people, ideas, and culture converge. Next, we developed a dynamic floor plan where fluid private and open spaces encourage focus, contemplation, or collaboration.
Then we composed it as a habitat for creativity, adding the latest contemporary office ware, including ergonomic furniture from Herman Miller (Sayl chairs and Public desk systems designed by Yves Behar), August Smart Locks, and Flos lighting by Michael Anastassiades. Accent pieces by Joe Colombo, Alexander Girard, Stilnovo, Don Chadwick, and Heath Ceramics add a dash of classic style, while a subtle color palette and natural light bring it all together.
Working here means you’re not just a CANOPY member, but part of the greater Fillmore Street community. We chose Pacific Heights to open CANOPY’s first location because its classic style and innovative panache resonates with our own ethos to embrace a quality work-life balance. Our neighbors embrace a human-scale lifestyle along the walkable streets lined with independent boutiques, lively cafes, gastronomic restaurants, and tranquil parks. Plug into the community.
We take the time to get to know our neighbors, and we’ve found that behind every curated storefront we admire is a business owner with a compelling story. Amanda Michael is a perfect example of that: One of many entrepreneurs on Fillmore Street, she brings the neighborhood together over her house-made pastries and hand-pulled espressos. Get to know her and the goodness behind Jane—one of the best neighboring spots.
